Terms and Conditions

All offers are made and orders accepted subject to the following terms and conditions, which may not be varied unless agreed in writing, prior to ordering, with Fran or Paul. These terms will be reviewed from time to time. Don’t be put off though, we are reasonable people and find it helps if everyone knows where they stand.

Ordering

1. An order is accepted and production commenced when Medieval Art and Woodcraft are in receipt of full payment for goods including postage and packing. In some cases, a deposit may be agreed prior to starting work on a new piece.

2. The acceptance of any order is solely at the discretion of Medieval Art and Woodcraft.

3. Quotations and estimates are valid for one month.

Payment and delivery

4.  If a cheque is returned unpaid by our bankers, the full cost involved will be passed on to the customer (bank charges, etc). Please note that it is a criminal offence to write a cheque knowing that the account does not hold the funds to cover the amount made payable.

5. Prices do not include postage and packing, which is charged at the actual rate. Prices for p&p are given by Medieval Art and Woodcraft at time of ordering and are valid for one month only.

6. We currently accept payment by PayPal, personal cheque, building society cheque in £sterling (GBP), and in cash (in person only – please do not send cash through the post).
For international customers, please use PayPal or personal cheque.
We regret that Medieval Art and Woodcraft cannot accept credit or debit cards.

7. When paying by PayPal, please, be aware that an additional 3% will be added to the total cost of the order to cover charges


7. All goods remain the property of Medieval Art and Woodcraft  until paid for in full.

8. Delivery dates are estimated, and may be subject to change unless otherwise agreed in writing.

9. All goods will be delivered by ParcelForce (or similar courier), or Royal Mail Special Delivery (UK only), at the customer’s choice. Where no choice is specified, we will endeavour to use the cheapest insured method.

 

10. We are willing to meet people at mutually convenient events or places for exchange of goods, but usually, this will be in exceptional circumstances

Cancellations and Returns

11. Should we have to cancel an order for any reason, the payment received will be refunded in full.

12. We will not accept returns or give refunds, therefore please be crystal clear with us over measurements, colours, materials. This does not affect the guarantee on martial arts goods

Quality and Care

13. All guarantees will be invalidated if care instructions supplied are not followed.

14. we accept no responsibility for the quality or suitability of materials supplied by the customer - although we will offer our advice, and notify a customer if fabric is unsuitable, the final decision as always rests with the customer.

Discounts

15. All discounts are solely at the discretion of Medieval Art and Woodcraft.

Force Majeure

 

16. Medieval Art and Woodcraft cannot be held liable or responsible for delays caused by conditions beyond Medieval Art and Woodcraft’s control, such as war, threat of war, riots, intervention by governmental authorities, flood, fire, acts of God, strikes, breakdown of machinery, shortage of materials used in manufacture (or of fuel), illness, or any other contingency which hinders or delays delivery or manufacture, and which is out of the control of Medieval Art and Woodcraft. Medieval Art and Woodcraft shall be under no obligation for loss or damage incurred or sustained by the customer.

 

17. Medieval Art and Woodcraft cannot be held liable for injury or damage resulting from the customer’s use of our products.
